Warranted 1925 • Universities Scheme (University of East Anglia)

Bowers Lodge No. 4865

Bowers Lodge was formed in memory of the Rt Revd John Bowers, Bishop of Thetford and Provincial Grand Master of Norfolk. His impact on the Craft is duly measured by the naming of Bishop Bowers Temple. The Lodge's ethos and character are perhaps best summarised by the motto on the emblem – "Follow the Light" – a calling to all Masons and seekers of individual truth, brilliance and illumination. Bowers instils in every member the principles of good ritual in the temple and informality outside, but above all the ability to enjoy their Freemasonry to the full.
